- Hello Andrei, thank you very much for the beautiful postcard and the nice stamps! I am very sorry for the late answer! Your postcard has already arrived about 3 weeks ago, but at that time I began a short holiday, sleeping at home, but making long excursions every day and ignoring all of my post (who wants to read advertising and bills during holiday? ;–). Therefore your postcard was buried under a pile of other post, newspapers, journals etc., and only yesterday I have arrived the bottom of that pile, finding your postcard there. But it was certainly the nicest and most delightful item in the whole pile of post! Thank you very much again! Im very glad that the card made it and that you like it :) I am also very slow with answering to messages and emails, and especially now, in the middle of such hot summer. Last week I was in Berlin and it was +36, now Warsaw is more or less similar. Despite this fact it was super nice to visit the Western neighbor and I hope to slowly explore the rest of your beautiful country. - Hello Andrei, thank you very much for your answer. Oh yes, it’s again a hot summer. Nice to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Berlin and even more that you want to explore more of Germany! I am so glad that, after centuries of dislike and after horrible crimes done by Germans to the Polish people, we finally seem to come closer and to realize that we can all live better when we live together as good neighbours and friends. If you ever happen to visit southwest Germany, drop me a note, maybe we can meet in Heidelberg or so – that would be great. But now, yes, let’s enjoy the summer and stay hydrated ;–). Долучіться до опитування — допоможіть визначити, як проводити конкурс «Вікі любить пам’ятки» у 2022 році[edit]
Вітаємо! Ви отримуєте це повідомлення, бо брали участь в українській частині міжнародного конкурсу «Вікі любить пам’ятки» у минулі роки. Зараз організаційна команда конкурсу вирішує, як проводити його під час повномасштабної війни в Україні.
Ми розуміємо, що цього року ми не зможемо провести конкурс у звичному форматі — зокрема тому, що фотографування об'єктів в Україні зараз ускладнене міркуваннями безпеки. Однак наша місія із документування української культурної спадщини є як ніколи важливою, тому розглядаємо варіанти, як можна провести конкурс у обмеженому форматі.
Для цього хочемо запитати поради у спільноти конкурсу. Просимо приділити 5—7 хвилин (не пізніше середи, 6 липня), щоби висловити свою думку.

- Wow, ganz herzlichen und lieben Dank! Das ist ein wirklich schönes Foto – und Du hast es sogar geschafft, genau die Staubblätter und die Ränder der Kronblätter scharf zu bekommen, das ist meiner bescheidenen Meinung nach die beste Lösung für solche Aufnahmen. Ich weiß daher die Widmung sehr zu schätzen ;–). Ich hoffe, dass Du mit der altvertrauten neuen Kamera viele weitere schöne Aufnahmen machen kannst und dass Dir das Fotografieren weiterhin viel Freude schenkt. - Hello Gzen92, thank you very much for your feedback. I am glad when I can help a bit. IMHO this is a good photo and some of the objections (e.g. that the light is boring) are somewhat exaggerated; I wanted to show this with my edited version. – In this case it seems appropriate to me to offer the edited version as an “Alternative version” of the photo, and I have done this now (see the nomination page).
