NOTE: This image is a focus stacked image of "Preserving jar opener - patended by Havolit - 1950s 2022-05-27 (focus stack).jpg" consisting of 10 images that were merged using Zerene Stacker Version 1.04 Build T2022-04-21-0715 (licensed). As a result, this image underwent digital manipulation which may have included blending, blurring, cloning, and colour and perspective adjustments. As a result of these adjustments, the image content may be slightly different than reality at the points where the images were combined. This manipulation is often required due to lens, perspective, and parallax distortions.

Additional Information[edit]
en: Preserving jar opener, manually operated, wooden frame with metal and plastic parts.
- Patented and manufactured by the Havolit company in Germany in the 1950s.
- The slots on top of the wooden frame indicate the diameter of various lid sizes (in millimeters).
- Usage: Vacuum sealed jars with a rubber seal are easily opened by placing the short horizontal wedge (depicted at left) between rubber sealing and lid and applying a moderate pressure to the upright wooden handle at right, thus pushing the plastic lever against the opposite side of the jar.
- If carefully applied the rubber seal will remain undamaged for reuse.
- This focus stack is a composition of 10 individual images..
- Image taken in May 2022 in Aplerbeck, Dortmund, Germany.
- See below for technical details concerning the "making of" this image.
- Aufgenommen in Mai 2022 in Aplerbeck, Dortmund, Deutschland.
